MEET THE TEAM

Robert (Bob) James

Bob James, President, Ione Rose Consulting, has more than 45 years of professional fire code experience. He is highly knowledgeable about emergency management regulations and how specific products can protect company assets. 
Bob is also an internationally-recognized fire prevention subject matter expert, with extensive expertise in developing and delivering training curricula for a variety of audiences world-wide. Knowledgeable about cultural and operational differences among fire service organizations throughout the world, Bob is skilled at determining how to integrate best practices and lessons learned by one organization or country into the operations of another.
After nearly 20 years working at Underwriters Laboratories (UL Solutions) within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry, he is extremely knowledge about global regulations, their impact on the use of new and innovative products, and the importance of “A to Z” customer centric delivery. Earlier in his career, Bob was also vice president of a company providing state-of-the-art fire, life safety, and building and fire code consulting services to building owners, designers, and builders; he was also charged with enforcing state and local regulations in the position of Fire Marshal for a growing urban environment, as well as code specialist and fire inspector for the State of Minnesota.

Jason Yon​g

Jason  Yong, ​General Manager at Vanguard Premium for APAC and Europe, has 13 years of expertise in fire, life sciences, and security industries. He excels in product management, partner relationship management, business development, regulatory affairs, and serving as a
respected subject matter expert for the industry. Jason is experienced in navigating diverse business cultures and collaborating with fire authorities across regions.
Previous role: Global Product Manager at UL Solutions, specializing in containment,
opening protective devices, fire resistive, building materials, and roofing. He has been an invited guest speaker and subject matter expert for fire events, training sessions, webinars, and signing ceremonies for memorandums of understanding.
Jason has a strong track record of success in driving growth and innovation in the industry. He has expertise in market strategy, project management, product life-cycle development,
and strategic partnerships with sales and laboratory partners.
